Biography

Daniel Plante is an internationally performing musician, arranger and conductor from Mount Airy, Maryland. He studied music and vocal performance at Shepherd University

An experienced worship musician, Daniel has played and assisted in the planning of worship music across the mid-atlantic region, including the United Methodist Southeastern Jurisdiction's Quadrennial Conference and the United Methodist Baltimore Area Annual Conference. He has also served as a guitarist, pianist and music director for the Jessup chapter of Kairos Prison Ministry International where he led worship for residents at the Jessup Correctional Institution and Maryland Correctional Institution -Jessup.

     Daniel is also a sought-out choral singer with nearly 10 years of professional experience, 6 of which as a cantor and chorister for the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore, MD. Daniel currently serves as Cantor and Principal Bass for the Catholic Community of South Baltimore parish system. 

Daniel has copious experience in musical theater; having acted, sung, and directed music for community theaters in Baltimore since 2015. A full list of credits can be found here
     
     An invited guest conductor, Daniel most recently premiered Adam Taylor's "Missa Brevis Sancti Benedicti".  and conducted the Shepherd University Chamber Singers in performing Joshua Shank's "Musica Animam Tangens". He is an alumni member in good standing of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia as well as the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA)  
         
     He currently resides in Westminster MD with his wife Lauren, son Theodore, and 2 cats.
